Together with Girl Scouts of Western Washington, we're putting on a slew of activities and special workshops for aspiring engineers of all ages. 

Due to demand, all workshops on Scout Days are limited to girl scouts and troop leaders.  Friends and family attending with girl scouts are welcome to take advantage of our tours and demos, free to the public daily at 11:15 am, 1:15 pm, and 3:15 pm.

Cardboard Computers
Session I:  10:30 - 11:30 am
Learn about the basic parts of a computer while getting crafty with cardboard! 

Scratch Retro-Gaming
Session I:  11:00 am - 12:30 pm
In this 90 minute Lab, teams use MIT's popular free programming platform, Scratch, to write and debug scripts, learn basic coding rules and jargon, and use simple game theory as they work to recreate one of the most famous arcade games of all time: Pac-Man.

Intro to Soldering
Session I:  1:00 - 2:00 pm
Session II:  2:00 - 3:00 pm
Learn the art of soldering, an essential skill for engineers that enables them to build and create the technology we use every day.

LEGO Robotics I
Session 1:  1:30 - 3:00 pm
Get friendly with our fleet of LEGO EV3 Mindstorms - one of the most popular robotic platforms out there for aspiring engineers aged 8 and up.
